What is accreditation?
Accreditation is a system whereby Young Liberals branches across the country can apply to become formally affiliated with Young Liberals as an organisation. This will establish a more permanent link between Young Liberals and our branches than currently exists, so we can help you more effectively.
Branches can accredit either as a "University Society" where they're affiliated to a Student's Union and offer membership exclusively to students, or as a "Local Branch" where they're associated with a local party/several local parties and offer membership to any member of the Young Liberals.
What do branches get?
Accredited branches will get exclusive access to quality Young Liberals materials and advice on best practice, including:
- Social media campaigning tips and materials (including graphics and templates)
- Discounts for Freshers Packs containing literature and freebies
- Access to the Branch Development Fund to help finance events
- Membership of a group of other accredited branch chairs and Executive members to discuss best practice
- Guides on how to run events and what events to run
Some of these materials aren't ready yet, but they will be in time. We'll also keep adding to this list of available resources as we create them.
What's the catch?
The only catch is that you will have to fill in a short form (at the bottom of this page), and also abide by a simple Branch Code of Conduct (which you're already hopefully abiding by anyway). That's it!
If there are any problems, however, please feel free to get in touch with our Branch Development Officer with any questions or issues.
Where do I sign up?
Simply fill out this form and we will be in touch as soon as possible.
