Communications and Campaigns Committee
(a.k.a. Commpaigns)
The Comms Officer chairs this committee, which promotes the work of Young Liberals online and in the media, works on the annual Freshers Campaign, and organises single-issue campaigns on Young Liberals Policies.

Directly-elected members: 3
Who will I work with? A representative from each state, Branch Development Officer, Policy Officer & a member of International Committee
What will I do? Promote the work of Young Liberals online and in the media, work on the annual Freshers Campaign, and organise single-issue campaigns on Young Liberals Policies
Diversity Committee
The ADS and REDL Officers, alongside the Diversity Reps for 9 different communities work on holding the Exec to account and ensuring that diverse voices are heard and involved in YL's work and decisions (the Reps are - BAME, Women, LGBA+, Disabled Trans, Carers, Care-Experienced, Social Mobility and Under-18s)
Chair: Accessibility, Diversity & Standards Officer
Directly-elected members: 1 “Rep” for each of the following groups: minority ethnic communities, women, disabled, carers, careexperienced, trans, LGBA+, under-18s and the Social Mobility Rep
What will I do? Along with the Racial Equity, Diversity & Liberation Officer and the ADS Officer, holding the Exec to account on diversity issues, publicising specific campaigns or policies, representing diversity within YL and the Lib Dems
Events Committee
The Events Officer chairs this committee, which organises, plans and helps run Conference, sets up other inclusive and accessible events for YL members throughout the year, and supports the Exec to ensure all events are safe and welcoming.

Who will I work with? A rep of each state, the Policy Officer, the Membership Development Officer, and the ADS Officer
What will I do? Organise, plan and help run Conference, set up other inclusive and accessible events for YL members throughout the year, support the Exec to ensure all events are safe and welcoming
Policy Committee
The Policy Officer chairs this committee, which organises, plans and helps run Conference, sets up other inclusive and accessible events for YL members throughout the year, and supports the Exec to ensure all events are safe and welcoming.
Chair: the Policy Officer
Directly-elected members: 3
Who will I work with? A representative from each state, and any YL members of the Federal Policy or Conference Committees
What will I do? Draft policies for Lib Dem Conference, offer drafting advice to members for their policy ideas for YL Conference, select motions for debate at Conference and commission policy working groups
International Committee
The Events Officer chairs this committee, which manages YL’s international relations and recommend affiliations with other organisations, serve as or select delegates for international events with our affiliated organisations, promote the international work of YL.

Who will I work with? YL or Lib Dem members who are in elected office of our sister parties or international organisations
What will I do? Manage YL’s international relations and recommend affiliations with other organisations, serve as or select delegates for international events with our affiliated organisations, promote the international work of YL
Elections Committee
The Elections committee works on our Elections Strategy, Young & Winning Scheme, and campaigning.
Chair: the Chair of Young Liberals
Directly-elected members: None - all members will hold other roles in YL
Who will I work with? The Elections Officer, MemDev Officer, Comms Officer, a rep of each state, ADS and REDL, state and regional chairs
What will I do? Plan and implement an Elections Strategy, work with branches and regions to set priorities for elections, organise action days with LDHQ and branches, help members become candidates and run the Young and Winning scheme
Finance and Resources
FRC is responsible for our annual budget, overseeing safeguarding and staffing.
Chair: the Registered Treasurer
Directly-elected members: None - all members will hold other roles in YL
Who will I work with? The Chair, Fundraising Officer, a rep of each state, and the Safeguarding Lead
What will I do? Plan and implement YL’s budget, presenting it to the Exec and Conference, ensuring all of our financial reporting is compliant, and administering YL’s staffing arrangements.
